Lighroom CC wont recognize older DNG files from 2008, marks the images as missing.

Lightroom cant open some of my older DNG files, it marks the images as missing(the issue are with the complete folders, not some images within a folder), when I choose to find the files the folder seems empty, but when I look in the folder through explorer the files are there. I can open them in photoshop?! I use Lightroom and photoshop CC, and win10. The camera used was a canon 400d, and the images was converted to DNG while importing with lightroom. The files are from 2008.

Not sure what is going on. Can you put one of those DNG online (like CC sync folder or dropbox) so that the team can examine if it is the file itself is problematic?

After I posted this, I took a backup of the folders, removed them from lightroom and reimported the images, it worked!

Good to hear that you're back in business. Now I think about it, you might have moved the folder or photos via the explorer at some point. Lr still referenced the old emptied folder. You should be able to reconnect the missing photos/folders via https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/help/locate-missing-photos.html
