Licencing Lightroom 5 trial version with anotheer purchased product

I have been working with the trial version of Lightroom 5 that I downloaded from the Photoshop web site. I have subsequently purchased Lightroom 5 from Amazon I did not opt for the download but had the actual disc sent to me. I entered the serial number when prompted, but it says it is "an invalid serial number".

My question is, does the serial number that came with the disc ONLY good for THAT disc and not valid for the trial version? If I install the program from the disc will it coincide with the existing program or will I have 2 Lightroom 5's installed on my computer?

The trial version on the website has changed recently, so it now trials the subscription version (and yes, I know, it's complicated the whole thing!). Uninstall the trial and install off the disc or these links:
