Photoshop: Library Items not Placed on Canvas 1-to-1

Pshop Lib vs. Illus Lib:  In Illustrator CC2015.5 Library items are placed on the art board at actual scale (1-1 or 100%).  In Photoshop, Library items are automatically scaled to the canvas of the destination file.  The fix requires users to use the Transform > Scale > HxW = 100% to resolve which is extra work.  While efficiencies are gained by the Library, the added step causes efficiency loss.  Idea >>> There should be a setting in preferences to override auto scaling of Library items to 100% irrespective of destination canvas height.

Hi Jon, I think I have good news for you. There is already a preferences for this. Go to Preferences > General... and uncheck "Resize Image During Place"

Let me know if this does what you desire.

Awesome Jeffrey - the Adobe Support representative had NO Idea about that preference setting..   Initially he told me my file was Corrupt.  Glad you knew about this one.... documentation on the web was Scarce!  Time to add it to the FAQs / Community Support docs!

There is also an option to skip the transform if you wish to do so. "Skip Transform when Placing" in Prefs/ General
