Library assets are introducing artifacts

When I import an asset that is in the library, it introduces random linear artifacts on the canvas that seem to be on the same layer as the asset is. They turn on and off with the layer, and can even be masked out with a layer mask, but they are not part of the original asset. And their position doesn't change when the layer is moved or resized.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?
Which file formats are affected?

Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% and with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, ...) visible?
