Lightroom Classic: Let me set Sharing Options (like Allow Downloads) inside the desktop app

I'm getting extremely frustrated with sharing Collections from LR CC Classic because there's no way to change any of the share settings from LR CC Classic.
  • I need to set default for basic settings like Allow Downloads and Show Metadata.
  • I need to be able to change those basic settings.
Me, I'm mostly sharing with Allow Downloads and Show Metadata enabled. Because they are OFF by default and there's no way to change that, I need to go to a web browser and move, hover and click mouse in seven steps to change them. It's really unnecessary, and extremely frustrating when you need to do it for several Collections a day, and you know it could be ONE step every time.

The process, currently, to Allow Downloads for a Synced Collection:
  1. Click the Make Public button on the up right corner when viewing the Synced Collection
  2. Click the name with a second mouse button to bring up contextual menu
  3. Hover over Lightroom CC Links to bring up the sub-menu
  4. Click on View on Web under Private Link heading
  5. Click Shared on Lightroom Web to bring up the Share Options dialog window
  6. Click Share Settings to bring up the Share tab on Album Settings
  7. Click to tick the box for Allow Downloads
Done!

Seven steps for something that could be ONE step, assuming there would be a user preference defaulting to Allow Downloads enabled when Sharing a Synced Collection.

The preferred process for allowing downloads for a Synced Collection:
    1. Click the Make Public button on the up right corner when viewing the Synced Collection
That would be a much nicer way as the Shared Collection would default to Allow Downloads enabled. Just one step instead of seven.

Please, at least let me set Allow Downloads straight from LR CC Classic if you really, really, really can't let a user change the default for Allow Downloads to enabled. It would make my workflow so much more convenient.

    Thank you.

Lightroom CC gained this very possibility in version 1.4 – is LR Classic CC gaining this functionality?

It feels stupid to open LR CC just to be able set the Share Settings for a Synced Collection.

Adobe normally does not comment on future releases, but in this case we know the answer: Adobe has made it clear that Lightroom Classic won’t get any new sync features, so the answer is “no”.

This was at the same time that Lightroom CC was announced. I'm sorry that I don't have a link for you, but many people here will confirm this.

I would confirm it too, but arbitrary decisions can change. More importantly your request doesn't involve any new sync activity and can easily be interpreted as not breaking Adobe's line on no new sync features.
