There is no lens profile support for Canon G15 Powershot in Lightroom 4.4 although most other Canon cameras including older versions of the Powershot are supported.

I also have a Pentax K-X which is supported and I find the feature very useful as I am a new user of Lightroom and need all the help I can get.

Please can you look at adding this for v4.4.

The G15 Profile is included with the Lightroom 5 installation.

Lightroom 4.4.1 will receive no additional updates.

That's a disappointing answer. I can't be the only G15 owner with LR4. This is a popular camera. I only bought this product in march 2013 because it had G15 support - which is misleading as its only partial support if there's no lens profile. Is there any assistance available to help build the lens profile? Alternatively perhaps you could consider making an upgrade to 5 available free of charge .

It's not misleading since as always support means that it is capable of reading RAW file from your camera. They don't promise for lens profile.
Anyway, you can download LR5 trial or LR5.2RC (free) and install it. Then go into the Profiles folder, copy the profile and paste it into LR4 folder. After that, you can uninstall LR5 and you still get the profile. Or you can ask someone with LR5 to send you the profile. The file is small.

Complete instructions for building profiles are available with the download of the profile creator.

http://www.adobe.com/support/download...

If you had purchased Lightroom 4 within 30 days of the release of Lightroom 5 you would have been eligible to apply for a no-charge upgrade.

There are multiple levels of support for any camera:

Raw File Support
Lens Support on integrated cameras
Tethering Support.

Lens Support is always available via this list for comparison before buying.

Hi I have copied the lens profile for the Canon G15 from the LR5 folder into the LR4.4 folder. The path is below. however the lens profile still does not appear when I open an image and try to apply the lens profile. Is there something else I need to do to the file or is there something else I have to copy as well eg the camera profile? Thanks Karen

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.4\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Canon

Assuming you're using Win7, have you also copied the file to the Camera Raw directory.

Hi Son I can't find those folders in my install of lightroom 4.4. There is a lens profile directory which is within the resources folder and I have put the file there. there is no folder called appdata or roaming. I am using Windows 7 .

Thanks karen

The folder/directory is hidden by default. You'll have to enable "show hidden files/folder" under Folder Properties.
