Will there be support for Camera RAW/LR/PS for the Canon 28-70/f2 soon? If not how would I make a custom one or has someone already invented that wheel?

RF lenses have profiles made by Canon, which are embedded in the raw image. That is why Adobe does not need to make their own profiles.

So when I want to apply lens corrections in Lr is there something I need to do to apply the canon profile?

No, the embedded profiles are automatically applied. You could not even turn that off if you wanted to. There should be a note at the bottom of the Lens Corrections tab that says that the profile is applied. The only exception to this seems to be the RF 24-105 lens. Adobe did make a profile for that lens, so perhaps Canon did not.
