Lens Correction problems with Sigma lenses?

About two weeks ago, my 5DIV suddenly died and went to Canon for repair. I got it back, and now LR can't identify Sigma lens profiles. It's possible this is specific to my camera, but given the symptoms (below), LR seems like the culprit.

LR can sometimes identify the lens in general terms, in the Info Overlay (my 50mm ART is reading as just 50mm, and my 24-35mm ART reads as 24-35mm F2 DG HSM | ART 015, like normal), but the lens corrections are missing. In fact, almost all the correction profiles are missing. So I'm out of luck correcting both lenses.

Anyone else having this problem? I figured I'd put it out here before yelling at Canon. I didn't think I'd miss those lens corrections, and now I know!

Thanks!
Adam

Hi Adam,

It looks like you might be attempting to apply lens profiles to JPEG files. Most lens profiles in Lightroom are designed only for raw since there may already be lens corrections applied in-camera to JPEG images.

Please confirm whether you see this issue when applying lens profiles to your .CR2 Canon raw files.

Hi Chris,

Yep, that was the problem. Thanks for catching that! I've been shooting JPG all week without realizing (which is infuriating).

Off to reshoot everything...

Happy to help. I've done the same thing more times than I would like to admit. :)

Next time either of my bodies so much as leaves my hands, best believe I'm going to check every essential setting twice.
