Photoshop CC: Leading errors in type tool (solved in 14.1)

When I adjust the leading pt size on text - quite often it jumps outside the acceptable range (in the 10's of thousands) and won't let me correct. this ends up in a perpetual error message, which I can only fix by force quitting Pshop.

As for adding an emoticon??? How exactly do you imagine it makes me feel - I'm not a bloody child that needs to express my complaint with an emoticon. I'm a professional designer that's paying monthly for good service.

Which version are you using?
Is this in Photoshop or Elements?

From the description, it sounds a bit like the font scaling bug in Photoshop 14.0, which was fixed in 14.1.

Hi Chris - thought i'd fixed it by uninstalling and re-installing the updated version. But it's just happened again - and I've now seen that I'm still running 14.0.

This is despite just re-installing PShop CC.

Another possible issue I'm having is my Creative cloud app (top menu bar) doesn't seem to refresh very quickly??

After the reinstall, you need to reapply the update..

It seems I have to Quit the Creative cloud app for it to refresh - surely this isn't right?
p.s. I've only just updated that too!

Yeah, it shouldn't have to be restarted - but I ran into the same problem.
The team who writes that app is investigating.

Paul,

This issue is resolved in the latest release of Photoshop CC. If you download, you will get the 14.0 version. To have the latest release, launch the application, click Help > Updates, and go ahead with the update. You'll need to close Photoshop to complete the update.

The bug you're encountering only deals with transformed text. It is resolved in 14.1. We are hoping to have further enhancements for transformed type in the future.

Thanks,
David

All updated now - so hopefully no more issues.

Thanks for steering me back to that, as I thought I'd just done exactly what you'd suggested.
