Photoshop: Layers panel constantly freezes and becomes unresponsive

Layers panel in Ps CC constantly freezes and becomes unresponsive, even though all tools seem to be functioning correctly. I have to restart Ps multiple times a day. Ps is up to date and the file sizes are very small. Anyone else having this issue since the latest update (which was supposed to fix a lot of issues since the prior update)?

Yea I would hold off... I have not been happy and I was hoping the most recent update would fix all of my issues but now new ones are coming up.

Hello,

In what way is the Layers panel freezing?  What is it doing when this happens?

What OS and version are you running?  Any third-party plugins installed?  Other apps running?

I read the forums nearly every day and I've never heard of anything like this...

Thanks,
David

I'm running into this issue now as well. My layers panel is completely unresponsive. I have tried exiting the program, turning the layers panel off and on, and nothing has worked yet. The program is auto updated, and the layers was just working for me yesterday.

Howdy Anthony,

When the Layers panel freezes, what are you working on?  Does it happen consistently?  Does it happen with all files?  Which OS are you running?  Have you tried turning off your GPU?

Thanks,
David

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help > System Info... and copy/paste the text in a reply.
