Let's say I've got an image that I want blurred but only in one layer comp, currently that means i have to duplicate the layer to have one blurred with a smart filter and one without. It'd be better if they were tied to the layer comp like layer styles. Especially since they appear to be grouped together in the layer palette.

It just means more layers and more bloated PSDs. Especially if the thing I'm blurring is a 2048px background image.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Photohop : Layers comps and Smart filters.

[En] In the layer comps with smart layers, I will appreciate that changing settings (visibility or blending options) of a smart filter is considered as a modification of the composition and can be defined as a new composition. It may lack a smart filter option (add to Visibility, Position and Effects).
