Layer issue in Photoshop CC

Hi guys, I'm having an issue in Photoshop when I try to move Layer Groups. Up until now I could place multiple layers in the same group, then if I wanted to move all the layers within that group, I could select the folder icon and them all in one go. What's happening now is that even when I select the folder icon in the Layers window, when I use the Move Tool it selects an individual layer within the group and only moves that.

If I select the group and use the arrow keys on my keyboard it works fine, but that takes way too long. Has anyone else encountered this before or does anyone know of a fix?

If I'm understanding your issue correctly - has the "Auto-Select" check box (left end of tool bar) been checked inadvertently?  If so, you would see that behavior.

Yes! Thank you! I've been using Photoshop for many years and never even knew that existed. Thanks again.

You can also change the Auto elect setting in the Options Palette from "Layer" to "Group".
In this case even when Auto Select is unchecked, you can select and move the Whole Group by using CMD-Click/CTRL-Click.
