Layer Comp export to PDF ignores shape objects

When using the export -> layer comp to pdf feature in photoshop, shapes seem to be ignored or set to invisible and ultimately do not appear in the resulting .pdf.

Also worth noting: when doing this operation while using artboards, white borders pad the left and right side of the exported .pdf. I discovered that this does not happen if you ungroup the artboard.

Can you describe your steps or maybe post a screenshot or two with your layers?
Also, artboards and exporting are notoriously buggy, so i'm not surprised.

With or without artboards in a new project:

1. Create a colored shape (e.g. rectangle), make sure it is NOT rasterized. Make another in a different colour and rasterize it.
2. Create a layer comp
3. Export -> Layer Comp to .pdf
4. The rasterized shape should be visible, the non-rasterized shape should not be exported due to this bug.
