It showed up as an "update" option when launching CC today - under my installed apps.

Thx. So why there are sites that are showing a 20.0.3v ?

Seems to me like they pushed out an update and then changed their mind and took it back. I saw the update in my Creative Cloud a few days ago, but not anymore.  Sounds like some people who actually did update to 20.0.3 have had to revert to 20.0.2? Weird

Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 v20.0.3 [Multilingual] even there is an unofficial and maybe not legal page the download exists and LR CC as well, so the update exists, well not for me at this time. I insist the link it's not the proper one but a friend of mine sent it to me just to verify that a new version was available.

Olivier  You sure? I've just clicked on app updates and the only see 20.0.02. I'm sure if there was an update we would have been notified here on the many topics where people are waiting for fixes.

I installed this update earlier today on my Mac Pro running latest version of Mojave. Checked my MacBook Pro running High Sierra and no update notices.

Something STRANGE is going on for sure. I had LR CC Classic 8.2. installed on my Mac Pro. CC told me I had an INSTALL for Lightroom CC Classic and Photoshop CC 2019. NOT an update. I installed the LR CC Classic and now my LR is 8.1. Not sure what will happen if I do the Photoshop CC 2019 instal. Guess it doesn't matter since it did not fix the current issues.

This morning, through Creative Cloud, I updated Photoshop CC to 20.0.3, Lightroom Classic CC to 8.3 and Camera Raw.
After the update which went smoothly for all 3 apps, when I tried to run Lightroom it came up with a window that said I needed to update my Windows 10 to the October 2018 edition and when I tried Photoshop CC it crashed.
Using Creative CLoud I reinstalled the previous versions of Photoshop CC and Lightroom Classic CC to return to where I was.
I thought my Windows 10 was at the latest version but I found it wasn't so I updated it (a long process).
Having now got my Windows 10 up to date I went to Creative Cloud to update again and the 20.0.3 and 8.3 updates do not exist anymore.
What is going on!!!!

Maybe we might get an explanation eventually. It's seems uncanny that some have seen the 20.0.3 update and then it disappears.... seems to coincidental.

For what it's worth, same here - my PS CC 2019 was updated 12 hours ago to 20.0.3, and Camera Raw was updated to 11.3. Since then, I've been looking for the changelog, and now I found this thread... ¿?

And now I have a new Photoshop update!! I'm on 20.0.3 like I said, and now the Creative Cloud app shows a PS CC 2019 update to version 20.0.2. This is the first time the CC app suggests a downgrade! Ok, I will leave this on hold until some explanation is given, or I'm afraid I will spend the rest of my day updating back and forth between 20.0.2 and 20.0.3 ...

DON’T DO IT! If you do decide to let it revert you back to 20.0.2, backup your settings, actions, plug-ins, and workspace settings. I did it and it wiped everything. Even though I can see the plug-ins in the folder, they’re not being seen by the 20.0.2 revert. I’m in the middle of restoring my Mac to the point before I did the revert. Going back up everything FIRST and wait to see WTF is going on from Adobe!

Thanks Willard for the heads up! I will be extra-cautious should I (eventually) accept the proposed "downgrade".

So to summarise, it seems that the update its only for some people. Today the CC app suggest me to update, running the latest version of the CC app and latest of Mojave as well. No updates for PS. 20.0.2 for me?
anyone who can give me some advice?
regards

I know my Creative Cloud App was updated to the latest version recently as I had a notification.

This is from Adobe's help website: The current version is 20.0.2

https://helpx.adobe.com/au/photoshop/kb/uptodate.html

  • The latest/most current version is Photoshop CC 2019 (version 20.0.2)
  • The latest/most current version of Adobe Camera Raw is 11.1
  • The latest/most current version of Adobe DNG Converter is 11.1

Cristian  so are you still working on 20.0.2 and everything is alright?

Just out of curiosity, a question to those of you who got the update: are you in the pre-release program for any CC app? I am in the pre-release program for LR Classic, and I got the PS 20.0.3 and ACR 11.2 update, and I was wondering whether being in a pre-release program might have something to do with getting some updates from other pre-release programs (I don't think so, but... just in case).

I have two machines at work. Windows 10 got this update this morning, plus Lightroom Classic and ACR updates. No updates available on the Windows 7 computer.

I'll have to check later on my Macs.

And now CC wants to install the older versions. I suspect that someone accidentally pushed an update too soon.

After the install of the spurious Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC and Camera Raw, it was when I selected 'Enhance Details' in Lightroom that I got the window advising that I required the October 2018 Windows 10 update. That was the point when I reverted to the previous versions and the new ones 'disappeared'.

So is Windows 10 now rolling out their Windows 10 update?

The Windows 10 October 2018 update (version 1809) was originally released on October 2, but because of a bug that caused data loss to several users, Microsoft was force to stop distributing the update.

I haven't been force checking for updates on Windows as I wanted to delay installing until I was forced. I get the usual weekly Windows security updates.

I wonder if the Windows 10 1809 is still a problem and Lightroom Classic 8.2 requires 1809 to enable its advertised 'enhanced detail' function and Adobe accidentally released it. I am still running the Windows 1809 that I upgraded to and thus far no issues. I seem to remember there was a good deal of angst in October and I held off updating to it. I forgot about that but it was available from Microsoft this week and so it should be OK now fingers crossed.

If you read the following link about the Windows 10 1809 update, you will see that MSoft have released it fixed in Nov 18 and you can get it by searching and manually updating.
https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2018/11/13/resuming-the-rollout-of-the-windows-10-octobe...

However they say that during any install it now checks to see if there are any apps that have an incompatibility issue (and possibly won't install if that is the case).

My sequence was:
1. install Lightroom 8.2, PS 20.0.3, ACR 11.2 from Creative Cloud
2. run LR 8.2 and get the notice that it requires Windows 1809 (I think it is an ACR 'enhance details' requirement) and PS then crashed on me
3. Re-install LR 8.1, PS 20.0.2
There is no downgrade for ACR and if I go into PS and check Help / About Plugins / Camera Raw, it shows the version is 11.2
4. install Windows 1809 which must have checked and found that I was using ACR 11.2 that is apparently compatible and let me install it.

Now, if I open a RAW file directly into PS the Camera Raw window opens and at the top of the left filmstrip column is a menu which has an 'enhance details' option (with short explanation) which creates an enhanced dng copy of your image

It is not there as an option when you select Filter / Camera Raw

I tried one image but couldn't see any significant differences.

I await the next move!

I'm glad you posted this. I will never manual Window Updates. I wait until I have no choice and by that time hopefully Windows have ironed out any bugs if any as that was the case with Windows October update.

Hopefully your issue gets resolved real soon Michael.

I had to downdate afterwards too. CC app told me to install LR 8.1 again as an update to 8.2, then that meant ACR no longer at parity, so had re-install ACR 11.1 manually. I backed down to PS 20.0.2 also so that means various other things got reset as it's a complete new install (of a previous version).

I was forced to reinstall 20.0.2 and lost all of my preferences. Huge amount of costly downtime. Thanks Adobe! Will think twice when it comes to renewing my subscription.

Finally!!! Both 8.2 (Lr) and 20.0.3 (Ps) have arrived. I have 'em installed thru ACC and both are looking good, at first glance.
