Latest Nvidia Driver 346.01.02f03 a disaster for Lightroom CC

Last night I installed the updated driver 346.01.02f03 for my NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 GPU. I had already turned off the card for use with Lightroom CC since it is not supported I’m sad to say. Lightroom CC has worked fine with it turned off. However, even with it off in Lightroom performance preferences, after installing this driver, Lightroom CC crashed repeatedly.

When I turned off the NVIDIA Web Driver for my whole system and returned to the OS X Default Graphics Driver, Lightroom CC functioned normally.

I am running Yosemite 10.10.3 on an early 2009 Mac Pro.

I don’t want to lose the use of the card completely but since I use Lightroom so much, I need to shut it off for now. I wrote to NVIDIA about it hoping for an updated driver that does not crash Lightroom CC. Or I hope Adobe learns to co-exist with the GeForce.

Nvidia updated driver 346.01.02f04 appears to have corrected the problems with Lightroom CC. The GeForce GT 120 GPU remains unusable with Lightroom CC but the card is now functioning with the system without crashing Lightroom. Whew!
