After latest upgrade I couldn't open Lightroom Classic. After a conversation/chat with helpdesk I was advised to install a previous version 8.3 and I was informed that most likely the internal graphic card in my iMac that is less than 1 year old is not compatible with the lates Lightroom Classic...

How can adobe be realising latest version that are not working with equipment that is up to date and is used by millions of users ?

Best regards,

Witold

Unfortunately, that is probably another example of the helpdesk just making up an answer because they don't know. Even if the graphics card in your iMac wasn't compatible (which is indeed very unlikely), that would still not stop Lightroom from starting and working. It would simply mean that GPU acceleration wasn't available. What does (not) happen when you try to start Lightroom? Do you get any error messages?

Thank you Johan !
After the upgrade to the latest version I couldn't start the LRC. In the "Force Quit" window of Imac the message was - "waiting for a response" and even after a few hours there was no change. I have uninstalled the latest version and re-installed 8.3. After this it is working w/o any issues. There must be something wrong in terms of compatibility between MAC OS Mojave and latest version of LRC...Let see if Adobe will improve this.
