Elements 10: Lack of tools to draw outlined shapes

The lack of a simple tool to draw an outlined circle or ellipse is a major oversight in this product.

Same for drawing rectangles.

Nearly every other drawing program has these options, so why not this one?

It just doesn't make sense that people should have to figure out complicated sequences of commands to manipulate objects to accomplish such an everyday, ordinary task.

Example: I want to draw an oval around an area on a photo to point it out. Imagine a photo of an auto collision, where you want to draw attention to a specific area that was damaged.

Please correct this oversight.

Doesn't the Shape Tool do what you want?

Photoshop obviously has a lot of sophisticated tools and options, and you're correct, I can (and will) use the custom shape tool.

Thanks very much for pointing me in the right direction. I likely would not have figured it out on my own, given the vast number of menus, submenus, choices, and key combinations.

Having a more quickly selectable set of drawing tools could make it easier for casual/novice Photoshop users (like me). What I'm thinking of, for example, in addition to the Ellipse Tool, would be to have another choice such as "Ellipse Outline Tool".

Thanks for the help.

It still doesn't tell how to get an outline of a shape--rectangle, heart, etc.
