Photoshop CS5.1 no longer supports KODAK Photo-CD documents (.PCD). That means my photo library of digital stock photos, which I paid money for, is no longer useable. Adobe, please correct this problem.

There is not much we can do -- that format was dropped several years ago because Kodak stopped supporting the library used to read PhotoCD images (and it needed a lot of support).

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photo_CD under History (about 2/3 of the way down the page).

You can use an older version of Photoshop to read those files and convert them to a normal file format for archiving. And I think a few other applications still have some support for PhotoCD.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled How to convert pcd files into dng, tiff or jpg with photoshop?.

I have adobe photoshop CC2017, and I have old photo-CDs from Kodak with pcd format. How can I open/convert the old pcd files into dng, tiff or jpg? Thanks.

Unfortunately, as stated above, modern versions of photoshop can't open kodak pcd files.

If you want the very best conversion for your pcd files then pcdMagic is what you want.

Could you tell us, which is the last version of PhotoShop that supported PCD?
