{Ctrl][K] and [Ctrl][Shift][K] used to switch to the Library Module and activate the appropriate Keywording Tool. This functionality disappeared with v3.4. Please bring it back.

Hi Winston,

I tried this in Lightroom 3.4, both on Mac and Windows. Here are my steps:
1. Select an image in grid view.
2. Press Ctrl+K (Win) or Cmd+K (Mac)

The Keyword panel is expanded (if collapsed), and the keyword entry field activated.

Can you let me know what is missing in my steps, compared to what you are doing to see the broken behavior?

thanks,
Becky

I don't think this solves your problem but it'll provide a work around for half of it: I like to use [G] or [E] which just takes me back to the Grid or Loop view in the library.

In 3.4 it only works in the Library Module. It used to work from any module. Other modulue-swtching tools still work. For example: when in the Library Module pressing [R] switches to the Develop Module and turns on the Crop Tool.

Winston, I've tested this back to version 2.7, and for me, Ctrl+K only ever worked from the Library module.
