Bridge: Ability to edit keyword shortcut

Yesterday I found out Bridge has a keyboard shortcut to select the next highlight keyword. It's F3. Using my Mac, F3 is the key for mission control. I can get around this by using the FN key + F3 but it's awkward to press. Can you make Bridge's keywords customizable and more visible, like you do with Lightroom?

Do you use Mission control? If not, you can edit the shortcut from the OS side and map it to what you want.

I went to my System Preferences and Mission Control already has a symbol like this ">" that's pointing up next to an arrow pointing the same direction, so it's already mapped but still when I press F3 (there's an icon of mission control printed on the key), it brings up mission control. Just went to the keyboard preferences in macOS, checked use FN keys as standard functions, and then F3 worked in Bridge to go to the next keyword. But, now in order to use the "special features printed on each key" (e.g. volume) I have to use the FN key. Which brings back the awkward position. So this key is not re-mappable. I have to change Bridge's shortcut.

To my knowledge there is only one option.
In the OS X sys preferences you have to set the F keys to be for the F keys, preform normal functions. Right now they are set for secondary usage like Mission Control, Volume (Up/Down) and the like.
Once changed so the F keys react normally to use those other functions you press and hold the Fn key first.

Thanks. Just tried that above. I feel like it's a hassle to have to use a keyboard shortcut to turn my volume up every time. Likewise, it's a hassle to use two keys to go to the next keyword in Bridge – when users can easily use the – arrows – in Lightroom and they have autocompletion suggestions as they type. I've asked Adobe to add this to Bridge years ago, nothing yet. I only found out about this F3 Bridge shortcut yesterday.

Not sure what you mean. Even if the F keys are set to secondary usage it is still a Key Board Shortcut to raise/lower the volume. It all depends on which features, options, you use the F function keys for.

I mean instead of just clicking "volume up", I would have to hold the FN key and click the volume key each time I want to adjust the sound. It's simpler to just press one key. To use Bridge's "next keyword" shortcut I have to hold the FN key, Shift, and F3. That's a lot compared to what Lightroom users have to do.

Also, this doesn't just apply to the volume key but all F keys with special functions on them like brightness, ESC, play, pause, etc. I'd have to hold FN to use them all.
