Lightroom Classic: Keyword metadata filter changed?

I might be imagining things, or I need to click on an option, or the latest version of LR CLassic CC has changed....

I have a quasi hierarchical keyword system which I set up when I discovered I had too many keywords to display in KEYWORD LIST and META DATA KEYWORD filter. Over the past year or so, I combined all my "A" words under one keyword, all my B's, C's etc up to K.

Since doing that I could find any keyword in the KEYWORD LIST and in the METADATA KEYWORD filter.

I updated to the latest LR Classic CC version about 2 weeks ago. I discovered this morning that the KEYWORD LIST is behaving as expected, but the METADATA KEYWORD filter shows all the keywords in a flat structure so I can only see about half my keywords.

Has there been a change in the filter's behaviour, or have neglected to click on some option?

Thank you

In the Metadata filters, click the header just above the numbers and you can change it to hierarchical.
