LIGHTROOM - keyword hierarchy lost on export even with option selected

I have many virtual copies that serve as print proof copies.
Now I wanted to create DNGs of these VCs in order that I can handle these "print files" as actual files and not just entries in the DB (also as a backup in case of db corruption).
Now the problem is that the entire keyword hierarchy in these exported DNGs is lost/flatened, eventhough I have set the flag on the option "export keywords with LR hierarchy".

On importing these DNGs into the catalog, my whole hierarchy is completely messed up.
I would consider this a bug, because the option to write the hierarchy is not taken into consideration when creating the exported file.

Could you please fix this behaviour?

When I export a virtual copy to DNG format with the option Write Keywords As Lightroom Hierarchy and then import the DNG into the catalog, the keyword hierarchy is properly preserved.

Do some of the ancestor keywords of the keywords being exported have the option Include On Export checked?  (Double-click on each of the ancestor keywords in the Keyword List panel to check.)  In that case, the keyword hierarchy embedded in the DNG will necessarily be different from the hierarchy in the catalog, because you told LR not to export part of the hierarchy.
