Lightroom Classic 8.0: Keyword drop-down issue in full screen mode in macOS 10.14 Mojave

Since updating to LR Classic 8.0 and macOS Mojave 10.14.1 the keyword drop-down list (when typing keywords after cmd-K) in full screen mode sometimes only appears as a very light and unreadable grey block instead of the usual dropdown. It works normally when exiting full screen mode and again for a while after re-entering full screen mode, but then gets all messed up again. It seems the real drop-down window appears to the right outside the fulls screen...

I've already tried resetting the preferences which didn't change anything.

Here's a printscreen of the faulty drop-down list in full screen mode:

and this is what it should look like (in normal window mode):

Greetings Roman,

I tested this for about 20 minutes and wasn't able to reproduce the behavior you are seeing.  How are you invoking the Full Screen Mode?

Hi Rikk
Thanks for your testing - I enter the full screen mode by pressing the green maximize button of the LR window in the upper left corner, so as to open the maximized window in an additional desktop of osX. I haven't tried using shift+f on my basic desktop, since I like to switch windows/desktops with the 4-finger-swipe gesture of my trackpad...

PS: tried to reproduce it in fullscreen mode on the basic desktop using shift-F and it always worked... so it seems to be related to the fullscreen mode which generates a spearate desktop/space...

"I enter the full screen mode by pressing the green maximize button of the LR window"

In the past, I think there have been several bugs with using the green maximize button, and I switched to using Shift + F long ago as a result.  Can you provide a little more detail how Shift + F inhibits the the ability to switch windows/desktops?

I have a couple of applications open on the basic desktop which I can easily access when LR is on a separate desktop by wipe gesture, but I would have to cycle through the applications using cmd-tab when I have LR opened with the full screen mode using shift-f on the same desktop.

I never had a problem with the keywords using LR 7.x in macOS high sierra when entering the full screen mode by pressing the green button. Additionally, LR enters the full screen mode on a separate desktop when getting there through the menu window -> full screen mode (freely translated from german)... so I sincerely hope that the solution is Adobe fixing the issue and not me having to resort to using shift-f on the basic desktop...
