Lightroom Classic: Not remembering the last keyword used when typing in the Loupe module

There is an issue with Lightroom keywords not remembering the last keyword used when typing in the Library/Loupe module.  In previous versions, if I typed a keyword and then auto-advanced to the next photo (using the filter of "none" for keyword), the next time I started to type a keyword with the same first letter, it would auto-populate that last keyword I typed. Now it just pre-populates with the first in alphabetical order. I have two hockey players named Zac and Zach, and Zac comes first in alpha order.  It is very time-consuming to have to type all four letters of Zach's name when I have 6 or 7 pictures of him in a row and it SHOULD remember him after the first picture and therefore come up immediately when I type the letter Z.  I tag hundreds of pictures of hockey players in a season and this is a HUGE time waster for me. I am now on 8.4.1 release, and in my previous version, it worked fine.

Really?  Thanks for the tip.  I spent a week and half going back and forth with tech support and they did not tell me that.  Their response as of 11/4 was "Thank you for giving us enough time to research on this. We did try searching for the images tagged with keywords and you are right the search is coming up with inverse result. we have reported this issue to the engineering level and hopefully will be fixed soon in the later updates. As of now the workaround of the issue is to do the manual selection of the keywords from the search results."  They then instructed me to come here and submit a "feature request."  Next time I will just come here!!

I'm doing the update now and crossing my fingers that it works!! Thanks again!

Yeah, I personally find these user forums to be a better place to find info on & report problems than Adobe support.  The folks here are using the program all the time and are much more likely know what's going on, confirm bugs, be able to suggest workarounds, etc.

Here's a post on the keyword problem that you were experiencing, in case you'd like to see what these interactions typically look like - Lightroom Classic 8.4: Keywords entry not working

Thank you!  Just finished the update and am now able to use my normal keywording flow again!  Truly a lifesaver with 1000+ photos to tag this morning!  I appreciate your help and the link to the previous conversation on this issue.  I'll definitely come here for further issues!
