Photoshop: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Until this problem is resolved - Adobe should offer all those affected with a free downgrade.

You can downgrade to MacOS 10.8 at any time.

"You can downgrade to MacOS 10.8 at any time."

Chris, do you realize that, as consumers have already reported in this very thread, downgrading is a non-option for those of use with late 2013 Apple hardware?

If I could downgrade to 10.8, I would do so in a heart beat. This is not a trivial matter of users not *wanting* to downgrade: for many of us, downgrading is impossible.

I purchased my hardware under the assumption that it would function as advertised by the developer, and while most Adobe support has been overwhelmingly positive, I find this comment callously curt. While I appreciate your sentiment, I do *not* appreciate your tone.

I second the "I would downgrade instantly if I could" statement.

(Apologies, I tried to edit my earlier comment and add this to it, but I think it timed out.)

What I find most upsetting about this comment is the fact that it reinforces my greatest fear, that Adobe sees this as a superficial problem at its worst. For users such as myself, who experience this bug with consistency, Photoshop is unworkable, and we do not have the luxury of downgrading.

Until more CC/CS6 users *unknowingly* purchase hardware which does not allow downgrading, thus exposing themselves to this error, I have no confidence that either Adobe or Apple will take this error seriously. This is very discouraging to me.

No Chris, you are wrong, I actually I cannot downgrade to MacOS 10.8 at any time. It is NOT an option I have, neither does anyone else in the my situation have it

In fact I have pressed Apple hard for a way to do this and they inform me, that in my situation, it simply is not an option

Your response was a glib one, and rather betrays how you really feel about the problem we are experiencing

I have some good news. We have a plugin that we think mitigates the keyboard shortcut issue in CS6 and CC on OS 10.9.x (when using brush-based tools with a stylus/tablet device).

You can grab the plug-in here:

Then drop it into your plugins folder (works with CS6 and CC, but you'll need one copy for each app's plug-in folder). Note the name of the plug-in is the WhiteWindowWorkaround - that's because the patch that prevents that issue from occuring is also included in the same plug-in package.

Please let me know if this helps with the issues you've been seeing as well as any potential side effects.

Thanks for your patience with this,

It was related to the Intel HD Graphics wasn't it? Because if it was I think I deserve some kind of recognition since we had this issue for 4 months.

Seems good so far. :)
Must have been a tough one to debug.
