Lightroom: Keyboard is acting wonky...

For example, Ctrl-Shift-E sometimes brings up 2nd monitor, sometimes brings up Photoshop, sometimes brings up another strange Lr dialog, and most of the time does what its supposed to: bring up Export Dialog Box.

I've noticed some others as well, but I think I'll leave it at this one for now since its the one that I've really nailed down...

Windows 7/64 (I should have said - thanks for asking).

PS - It could be my keyboard is going south or something, I don't use keyboard modifier combos nearly as much in other apps as I do in Lightroom. I'm trying to notice whether the odd behavior is only in Lightroom - so far it *seems* to be.

I'm going to suggest that this is a keyboard wonky-ness issue:

Ctrl+E = Edit in Photoshop
Shift+E = Second Monitor
Ctrl+Shift+E = Export

So it seems that your modifier keys are not working out each time (some times Ctrl cuts out or Shift does, depending on the mood perhaps).

Thanks Brett - I'm watching it to see... (had a longer response composed but it was considered "profane" for some reason (I could not detect any profanity).

This problem is nearly always solved one of two ways:

- Push all your modifier keys one at a time, both sides (control, shift, alt)
- If you are using a USB keyboard, unplug it, wait for the OS to recognize that it's gone with the audible tone, and then plug it back in.

I have noticed that the problem tends to occur when pressing Ctrl+Shift simultaneously - if press Ctrl then Shift, I haven't had the problem - is this a hardware thing or an OS thing?

Sounds like hardware, how old is the keyboard, has it had a hammering and is it clean??
