Also, I can see the tags on photos in the catalog, but nothing is showing up under keyword tags. All of my "people" tags (around 20,000 pictures) are now "other" tags". Help!

Hi Mark,

I've following queries:
1) Did you import the images again in E10 or did you convert your E9 catalog to E10?
2) In E10, do you see face rectangle in images for any such people tag?

I imported the images to E10, but ended up with a corrupt catalog. I am rebuilding my catalog and am ready to get people recognition fixed. I don't see any face rectangles in the people tags, nor will it create one when i name someone. Also, it appears that the people naming may have come to the new catalog as "imported key tags". Is there an easy way to convert to "people" instead of "imported key tags"? Finally, why won't the software allow me to name people?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

You do not need to import the images again into PSE10. Just follow the following steps to convert your PSE9 catalog. This will save your face tags, face rectangles and everything else.

1) Launch Organizer in PSE10.
2) Go to 'File' menu --> 'Catalog...' ('Catalog Manager' dialog will open)
3) Click 'Convert' button. 'Convert Catalog' dialog will open.
4) Now, from the list given in the dialog, select your PSE9 catalog and hit 'Convert' button.
5) Close 'Convert Catalog' dialog
6) Choose the catalog that you converted from the list present in 'Catalog Manager' dialog and hit 'Open' button.

If on step 4, you do not see your PSE 9 catalog, browse and locate that catalog on disk.

Let me know if it works for you.
