Photoshop: Why do JPG files with same size (height/width in inches) show up with different sizes on the screen?

I have two JPG files, and both documents, when I go into "canvas size" and "image size" say that they are 8.5 inches by 11 inches. And yet, when I view each document on screen, at 100% zoom, one document fits on the screen and the other is huge, with only a portion fitting on the screen. Is there a setting somewhere to correct this?

Howdy Randall,

What resolution are the two documents?  If you've changed them to something other than 72 dpi, they'll appear different, even at 100% zoom.

Thanks,
David
