JPG edited in Photoshop Elements won't open when emailed to an iPad

For years I've edited Canon camera photos in Photoshop Elements on my MacBook and emailed them to my and other people's iPads. Now I have changed to a Panasonic camera, I do the same editing and save the JPG in the same way, but iPad users cannot download the image. The JPG opens perfectly in emails on the MacBook. Have spoken to Panasonic ("JPGs are universal - it should work") and Apple (very thorough, established it is only PSE edited JPGs of Panasonic photos that fail) - but no solution.I need to edit and sed these JPGs for work, and this is a big problem. Anyone else having a similar issue? Any ideas? Hope someone out there can help! Thanks.

What do you mean with 'cannot download the image'? Doesn't it show inside the email? It could be that your images are too large. The mail application on the iPad won't automatically download very large images. JPEG is indeed a universal standard.

Thanks Johan for your quick reply. When it says "Tap to download", the result is "Cannot Download Attachment". Didn't think size was an issue - unedited JPGs of the same image download fine, but a bit of editing (mainly cropping, so the image is actually smaller) stops it downloading, which makes me think it might be a Panasonic/PSE/Apple incompatibility somewhere? Any thoughts appreciated!

I have no idea why this happens, but I think it's highly unlikely that it's an incompatibility in the jpeg-file format. As said, jpeg is universal. Are you sure that PSE saves as jpeg, not something else? And have you checked that the file extension is still .jpg or .jpeg?

Thanks Johan, the file extension is indeed .jpg - I edit and save in exactly the same way as I always have done. The only thing that has changed in the whole process is using a Panasonic Lumix instead of a Canon Ixus to take the photo.

Thanks for that suggestion Johan. I've uploaded one of the photos in this message - hope that works.

I see nothing wrong with this image. I emailed it to myself to see what would happen with the email on my iPad, and the image just shows in the email as expected...
