Photoshop CC 2017.1.1: Javascript alert pops up every time I open a document

Hello,

As stated in the title, I get the following alert upon opening a document (which is as ambiguous as it gets...). Whether the file is a layered PSD, or a flattened JPG, PNG, it makes no difference. If I open multiple files I'm getting the alert just once.

I realise this says almost nothing about the potential source of the problem, but I'll be happy to to dig a little if given some directions. I think it began to pop up after the recent Photoshop CC update. I am working on a Windows 10 Pro computer with automatic updates.

I think I should try disabling all third party extensions to begin with, eh?

regards,
Matt

Extensions is a good place. Also, go to File > Scripts > Script Events Manager... and see if that is enabled. Disable it if it is enabled.
