Photoshop Elements 10: Jagged lines when zoom is not at 25%, 50%, or 100%

Photoshop Elements 10
Viewing jpg and tif files

At zoom levels other than 25%, 50%, and 100%, lines appear jagged. Some photographs are more noticeable than others. Scanned photos of old family photos aren't as noticeable because of soft lines. Jagged lines are very apparent with jpg photos downloaded from, particularly of the space shuttle.

I did a search but not many relevant results came up here, so I thought I would put in my 2 cents in hopes that this gets fixed in future updates. I had Photoshop Elements 2.0 installed previously, but I can't remember if I had the same problem.

Is this fixed in Photoshop 11? This is a very frustrating problem.

Are you talking about on PSE Editor or Organizer ?
is it just a viewing problem or your print also shows jagged lines ?

Please upgrade your video card driver, it may cause this issue.

If you just want to see this problem whether exist on Elements 11 or not , try the trial version of it.

It is a viewing problem with the PSE editor only. The on-screen anti-aliasing problem is present on both the laptop's monitor and external 24" monitor connected via hdmi. No issues when printing.

I just tested viewing an image in Organizer and the image properly refreshes with no jagged lines. The PSE editor does not properly refresh when zooming, thus the jagged lines.

System and video drivers are up-to-date. I haven't tried PSE 11--no motivation yet.
