I've installed the latest update to Photoshop CC and I am still not able to check the box "Use Graphics Processor". Please help.

When I try to use the Adaptive Wide Angle filter I get the message, "This feature requires graphic processor acceleration. Please check the performance preferences and verify that 'Use Graphics Processor' is checked."

I am unable to check this button because it is grayed out. Everything still works normally in Photoshop CS6.

Photoshop CC added additional testing for known problems on video cards and drivers that CS6 didn't catch.

What OS version are you using?
What GPU?
Have you updated the drivers from the GPU maker's website?

I'm using Windows 7

NvDia 9100 GPU

I ran a driver check and was told, by Microsoft, that I had the most up to date possible. However, I went through the NVidia website and found several other drivers, one of which allowed itself to be installed on my system. It was not shown as an update for the GPU driver on my system.

The new driver, however, seems to have solved the problem.

Microsoft's drivers are typically one to two years behind.

Always get the driver updates from the GPU maker's website (NVidia in this case).

And glad to hear that you've got the problem solved. 99.9% of these cases turn out to be older drivers with bugs that are fixed in more recent drivers.
