Photoshop stands alone as the premier image editing software. It is time for Adobe to consider a name change for Photoshop because the name hardly describes what it does anymore. Like most people I rarely use Photoshop for actual photos. Like everyone I use it for images. Imageshop would be much more appropriate. You know it and I know it. You might argue that Illustrator is the image editing software by Adobe. I say poop. I never use Illustrator. I, like everyone else, love Photoshop. It just needs a new name.

Photoshop has 25 years long history and strong brand. A lot people would be angry because they coulnd't find their favorite editor. It would be like rename Coca-Cola because it doesn't contains cocain anymore.

But the truth is that Flash editor was renamed. However, Flash is definitely dead and Flash editor will be not used primarily for creating Flash anymore.
