Bridge will not keyword certain video files even though the group of files all went through the same process (renamed and copied to a new folder through prelude) and are of the same file type. A different computer that has access to the same files can keyword no problem.

the files are from a canon 5dmkii and are not being transcoded. There is no problem when using transcoded files from a panasonic.

"Once again, the dreaded “the file “xxx_xxx.mov” cannot store XMP metadata. No changes will occur.” error message popped up! I don’t know what I was thinking, but I right-clicked the file, just to see what my options were. Fourth from the top, was “Purge Cache for Selection”. Hmmm...hadn’t noticed it before. I figured I’d try clicking it. According to Adobe, all it does is refresh the thumbnail for the selected file.
Well, that’s not all it did! I was now able to add keywords to the file, and edit XMP metadata"

This solved my problem. I am now able to keyword the video files that I previously got an error on by using this method. Not ideal but at least there's a work around.
