Photoshop: Issue moving multiple layers (Auto-Select)

Ever since I "upgraded" to CC 2018, I am unable to select multiple layers and then use the move tool to move those layers. When multiple layers are selected, the move tool acts like some kind of "selection tool" selecting and deselecting layers as I try to drag.

I now have to move layers individually and that creates a problem if I need those two or more layers that exact distance away from each other but at a different spot on the canvas.

It sounds like you could have "auto-select" turned on. Turn it off and it should respond how you are used to. There may have been a preference reset in upgrading, or you didn't migrate your settings during the upgrade. If this isn't it let us know.

For consideration, using sarcastic scare quotes here  tends to limit people's desire to help out, so try and give the benefit of the doubt. There is always the chance it could simply be something you're missing as well and not just an "upgrade" issue.

Hey Justin,

Are you still having an issue or did Stephen's recommendation solve your problem?

If you are still having an issue, what OS are you on and what are you using for a mouse/pointer?
