Lightroom: ISO Country Code metadata not being exported

In Lightroom, I tagged some photos in the map module which resulted in "State/Province", "Country" and "ISO Country Code" fields being auto-filled for those photos (but in dark grey, to indicate that I had not filled them in manually). However, when I exported the photos (opting to include all metadata, including location info), the ISO Country Code field was not exported to the image files. State/Province and Country were exported.

Ah sorry, I forgot to mention - when I filled in the field manually (though incidentally I used the 3 letter ISO code rather than the 2 letter one, butI don't imagine that made a difference) the field did export.

I'm able to reproduce the bug on my LR 5.7 / OS X 10.9.5. Someone else has also reported similar wierdness with the ISO County Code field:

You can work around this by confirming the auto-filled value -- click on the label "ISO Country Code" and you'll get a list of choices, the auto-filled value being first. Just hit enter. Now the field turns from hard-to-read grey to white, as if you had manually entered it. The country code will now export properly.

You can similarly confirm all the other location fields too, which is useful if you need to change just one of them without losing all the others.

As you can see in that other thread, lots of people have complained about the overall design of LR's reverse geoencoding. I think most users who do a lot of geencoding still do it outside of LR, using a third-party plugin or an app such as Geosetter.
