Is there a way to repair corrupt yet mostly intact .PSD files?

I'm currently working on a project and the file will not open, suddenly saying "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop." However, the file is wholly intact. I believe this happened during an accidental computer restart. Is there any file recovery tool I can use that will repair the file?

The file may have the right size, but have completely scrambled information (or no information) inside it.

No, there is no easy way to recover corrupt PSD files.
If you can't open it because you went over the 8000 layer limit, or had something larger than 30,000 pixels across -- then we might be able to open the file here at Adobe.

Otherwise, try http://telegraphics.com.au/sw/product... and see if it can find any layer data in the file.
