Is there a way to remove the 'Lightroom Mobile' folder in my folder list in Lightroom Classic?

Is there a way to remove or move this folder?  It seems to be all my synced lightroom mobile / CC images, but it's also causes a ton of duplicates to show up when I do a search and also has all my iPhone photos (I think I have my lightroom mobile set to auto-import).  Does it need to be here or can I move it or somehow disconnect it from being in my "active" folder list?

I want to keep using synced images, but don't really like having the synced photos (which are already in collections in LR already) here again.

I'm not sure how you'd expect it to work or be able to access the images if it wasn't in your active folder list, but you should be able to change that location, if you'd like.

Go to Edit --> Preferences --> Lightroom Sync (might say Lightroom Mobile, depending on your Lr version) tab and look in the Location section for the current path and a Change button.

It just seems like redundancy...  I wish it was a bit easier to have the phone recognize which photos are exported from LR mobile (to access them from another app) and saved to the photos app (and then synced back to lightroom mobile), or ignore screenshots or scans or whatever.  What you say makes sense, but in use it seems like it's more a source of frustration than usefulness.
If I didn't have the phone syncing, would photos from synced collections in LR Classic show up in the Lightroom Mobile folder in LR Classic as well?  Or is that folder ONLY for images imported from external sources (ie: synced from mobile phone)?

If I'm understanding your question correctly, the answer is no, photos from synced collections shouldn't show up in that folder.  Only photos coming from your mobile device(s) should be showing up there.  Any duplication that's showing up in that folder is probably being caused by your workflow.

For example, if you had a synced collection with 10 images in it, those would not normally show up/be duplicated in your "Originals_01\Lightroom Mobile" folder.

Because you have auto-import turned on though, if you access one of those images in Lr Mobile on your phone, take a screenshot of it and save it to your camera roll, Lr Mobile is going to see that as a new image and sync it back to that "Originals_01\Lightroom Mobile" folder.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Yea, that makes more sense.  Part of my workflow is posting to IG by going to LR, exporting the photo I'm going to post that day to a folder on dropbox, then export from dropbox to photos, then (at some point later in the day) open IG and post that photo.  Super in-elegant I know, but I like using the native IG app for things like hashtag completion, and while LR/IG is great, it's not something I can use all the time.
Wish there was a better way to do it (though if someone knows that'd be awesome :)

Yeah, you're definitely causing your own problems with that workflow.  Why aren't you simply sending from Lr Mobile to the native IG app?

Mostly because you can't (AFAIK) add a watermark on export from LRM.  Course there's tons of discussion on watermarking, but that's the reason.  Unless you know of a way to do that, because that would eliminate a TON of issues.

Brilliant!  Glad I could help.  And don't feel bad...the watermarking feature has only been in Lr Mobile for a few months.
