Lightroom: Is there a way to know what preset you used on a previously edited photo of your own?

I often brighten my photos of my hair clients but often forget what preset I used I would love if it would tell me what it was to keep the scheme

Look in History.   There will be an entry like "Preset: Preset Name"

In library module, you can activate the grid filter (KBSC '\') and filter the photos based on Metadata>Develop Preset, which will show the applied develop preset by name.
