No obvious effect of enabling lens profile at present.

Not yet. It is too soon - considering that 5.7.1 released in mid December and the lens was first delivered to customers in mid December. The team needs time to: get a lens and profile it and the get it into the next Lightroom update.

I know how you feel-I was on the pre-order for this lens! ;-)

BTW: If you choose Canon from the manufacturers pulldown, it will auto populate with the V1 lens profile so be cautious.

Follow up to Rikk's post, the profile for this lens will be in the next release, though we don't have a time table for that. The v1 lens has a different optical formula so using its profile for the v2 lens will not give you the best results.

Stay tuned.

And now ? I don't want to upgrade to LR6.
Since the Process version is the same, and there is the profile for the lens + cameras in the current version, we should be able to import the profiles to "older" LR 5.7.1.

Please don't answer to convert to a DNG file. If I'd like to use other file formats, I would use Canon latest DPP and work with TIFF files.

So, is there a solution (other then buying new software) ?
Will there be a solution (other then buying new software) ? When ?

Thank you.

It was released effective with Lightroom 6.0 / CC2015 and ACR 8.8.

There is a Lightroom Trial if you want to check it out - no purchase required...
