When I bring up Revel on my iPad and iPhone the list of albums does not match the list that is actually stored on the Internet. It seems that the Revel apps are not doing a check/refresh when you start the app to ensure that the album list on the device matches the album list actually on the Internet. This is a major problem..

Hello, could you please let us know what do you use to see the album list stored on the Internet? Is it very different from what you're seeing on your devices? Larger? Smaller?
Are you referring to collections published in LR?

Thank you,
Elmira

Hi,

If I view the album list via a web browser then the list of albums matches the list of albums created in Lightroom. If I view the album list on an iPhone or iPad then the list on these devices is shorter and not the same. By "not the same" the album lists on the iPhone can be different from the iPad and both can be different from what was created in Lightroom.

I don't know what is going on but I could take an educated guess. It seems that when you connect using an iPad or iPhone then the app attempts to perform a sync. It could be that this sync first looks for new/changed photos first and not new/changed album lists. I have a lot of photos and I think it is spending so much time trying to sync the individual photos that it never actually gets to sync the album list names. It would make sense that the first thing that the iPhone/iPad app should do is check/sync the album list and make 100% sure that is correct before it then attempts to sync with individual photos. I may be wrong but that is my educated guess.

Yes, all the collections were published in Lightroom.

Hi David,

Unless you have images actively uploading from the iPhone or iPad, please see if uninstalling and reinstalling the apps helps. Revel for iOS is usually good about staying in sync. Reinstalling will force the app to sync again, and if the app still doesn't match what you see in Lightroom/web browser, then we'll look at other troubleshooting options.

Hi,

There are no images actively uploading from the iPhone or iPad. If I delete the iPad app and reinstall it I still have the same problem - the list of Albums shown on the iPad version does not match the list of Albums shown in Lightroom (where the images were posted from) or in the Adobe Revel application on Mac OS X or via a web browser at www.adoberevel.com. The iPad/iPhone version is always out of sync.

As a note, when I deleted the Abobe Revel app it definitely did re-sync and it did re-create the list of Albums. However, it just did not recreate them to match what is actually stored in Adobe Revel.
