Oops. I haven't been using Photoshop for quite some time. I forgotten how to soften skins using smart sharpen! I'm trying to replicate what Topaz Detail could do. I can't believe I forgotten how to do it in just a few months. How to you invert the effect of a filter?
I remember doing it before. Using layers and blending modes. I can't remember how I did it, but I remember it involved the Smart Sharpen filter. Take a look at Topaz Detail, I remember that I could completely replicate what they did.
I think I found out how to invert the effects of a filter. Have 3 layers. The background layer is the original photo and untouched. Apply the filter on the 2nd layer and set the blending mode to divide. The third layer is the same as the original photo but the blending mode is set to multiply.
