Photoshop CS6: How do I install CameraRaw 9?

I have a MacBook Pro (2,6 GHz Intel Core i7 - 2012) with OS X El Capitan version 10.11.16, with Photoshop CS6 version 13.0.5 x64 and plug in CameraRaw version  8.1.0.43. Photoshop does not open Raw files of my new Canon 5Drs. I understood I have to upgrade the CameraRaw plug in to version 9.x  So I downloaded the plugin package and tried to install it. That seems to work, but after opening Photoshop again I still have CameraRaw version 8.
How can I install version 9? Do I need to install the DNG converter first? How?
Please help me with a step by step solution. Many thanks in advance.

The 5Dsr was first supported in ACR version 9.0.
The last version of ACR supporting CS6 is 9.1.1.
The current version of ACR is 9.7.

My guess is that you are trying to install too new a version of the Adobe Camera Raw for CS6. You need to install 9.1.1.  It can be found near the end of this document: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
