Every time I'm asked to install Inspration Browser, I get to the window telling me to install AIR, I click "yes" and nothing happens. I've tried this multiple times. No result.

Guess I'll give up for now. Frustrating when you can't get the reference page and when you try to sign in for help on adobe.com, nothing happens. Everyone must be complaining!

I wanted to update the inspiration browser in elements 9 and followed the instructions to uninstall it and then tried to install the new one. It says adobe air will be added. Then when I try to install it It keeps saying installation error. If I click the question mark it takes me to an adobe air page that wants you to buy it for $99. What is going on and how can I reinstall the browser?

I have elements 10 and I tried installing the update and I got an error. Then I installed air and it still won't install. I'm going to try to uninstall air now and redo the update, but if anyone has any other ideas would love to hear them.

I have Elements 8. I don't know how to load the Inspiration Browser. Seems I have to uninstall it in order to get any updates, but I can't even find the Insp. Browser in my programs. Help! I'm running Windows 7.

When I attempt to install the updated version of the inspiration browser I get an error after attempting to install the required adobe air file that reads "download error occurred. Try to download again?" Which I have done numerous times. I have uninstalled both the inspiration browser and adobe air, and then restated my computer. Continue to get the error message. I am using windows 7 64 bit.

Photoshop Elements 8.

I have been unable to install the Inspiration Browser.

I downloaded the install file and ran it.

After trying to install, I get the following error:

"Sorry, an error has occured.

This application could not be installed because an application with that name already exists at the selected installation location. Try installing to a different location."

I tried uninstalling Air and intalling with this file, but same problem.

I tried installing to a different location, but again, same problem.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Steve

This is Dave Thurmond. I have tried numerous times (see my comment above that says "from 5 days ago", but was a couple of months ago in reality, guess it was because two threads were combined).

It sure didn't work!!! OK-from another post--delete both air and in. browser.- Make internet explorer your default browser - I rebooted- than clicked in. browser in elements 10- and clicked install from the message - worked great - installed latest air and in. browser-returned the computer to original default browser and rebooted--this worked with win 7 64bit

Deleted Adobe Air, changed default browser to MS, and it didn't work.
Would not re-install adobe air...got same error message I have every time I've tried to update. Couldn't uninstall Inspiration browser as doesn't seem to be installed based on control panel uninstall list.

My problem is similar: I wanted to install inspir. browser in order to update my Elements 8, which was not uploading properly. But could not "uninstall" Insp. Browser as instructed because it doesn't show up in my programs! BUT I did install Air, which I didn't have, and Elements did seem to work better, but I don't know how to get the latest update.

Oh, also see in above comments that after you have Air you can "download the Inspiration Browser". I'm not so swift w/ internet stuff: HOW do you download the Inspiration Browser? That was my original question and I couldn't seem to do it. I have Air now, so now what?

I had both air and the in. browser removed. Use windows control panel and remove program. After making internet ex. my default browser and rebooting, I opened elements and went to the top menu to use in. browser. Got a message that it was not available, would I like to install it? Clicked yes and followed the instructions. Installed fine. Again,
I did this with both air and inspiration browser removed. It might work with air installed, but don't know. The popup installed both air and the in. browser.

David, seems like you don't have the in. browser installed if you don't see it in the remove programs from control panel. When I looked at my programs list it wasn't listed but, it showed up in the remove program windows control. I discovered this by accident. I doubt elements 8 is that much different than my 10. Make sure you look under adobe in your remove list. Check my other comment for my procedure. I really hope this works for you. It should not be this difficult just to update a program.

Photoshop Elements 9. I have the current version of Air of 3.5 installed.I even contacted chat, who told me that there was no support for this version of Photoshop? Here is what happens.

Vista. Photoshop Elements 9. In order to run Adobe photoshop.com Inspiration Browser, this installer will also setup Adobe Air. I already have the current version, but I followed the instructions, and chose "yes". An error occurs "a downlaod error occurred. Try to download again?" No amount of Retry does anything except yield the same error. I tried "no". It says "Starting Install", nothing happens.

Wow. I've spent DAYS on this problem. It seems that one cannot download/install the Inspiration Browser using Google Chrome. When I tried it using Internet Explorer, it worked perfectly.

Ok, I finally have a computer that will run my old PS Elements 7. It has a Win 8 OS. When I log into Elements 7 and click Tutorials it told me to uninstall the existing Inspiration Browser and update it. So I did the uninstall then when I clicked the update it sent me to a site that is not associated with Adobe with a .net as part of it. Eventually I found http://www.adobe.com/go/pse_inspirati.... When I tried to use it I got "This page can't be displayed". I am using IE 10 with the latest flash installed and Adobe Air 3.7.0.2090 is also installed on my computer. So what am I to do to watch the PS elements 7 tutorials?

In another matter the map feature does not display a map, but I heard it depends on a Yahoo function which may not be available. Is that right? -- Richard

I have Windows 7 64 bit. Normally use Firefox 22.0. Have Photoshop Elements & Premiere 9. I uninstalled the Inspiration Browser the other night and clicked on the link. Firefox couldn't connect to the page. I read tonight that you probably need to install AIR so I did that tonight thinking that would help. Um, NO! Firefox times out, Google Chrome and Windows Explorer can't find the page. I found many links for a free download of it but when you click on DOWNLOAD, nothing is there! I should add I even tried disabling my ad-block add-on in Firefox. It didn't help either. Any ideas? HELP!!!

I just tried to get on the Elements help page and got Service Unavailable - DNS failure. I guess tonight isn't my night. I'll try again tomorrow.

That sounds like you have a networking problem close to your location - possibly your router or ISP.

I can now get to the help page. Site must have been down yesterday but still can't get the reference page open. The server at eib.assyst.net is taking too long to respond. That's what I get on Firefox. Another person said they're having the same problem. I seriously doubt it's a networking problem since I'm not having problems with anything else on this computer. Is there a new link for it and they haven't updated it?

The site hasn't been down at all that I know of.
And I'm not sure what assyst.net has to do with downloading AIR from the Adobe website.

Is there any chance you're running an adblocker or anti-malware software on your system that might be interfering with the download?

And the links all seem to be working fine, yesterday and today.

I'm not trying to download AIR. I did that last night. I sent the link to my computer tech friend and she's getting the same thing. The link just isn't working. Firefox, Chrome, & IE don't like it. Guess I'll just give up.

So you're trying to follow http://www.adobe.com/go/pse_inspirati... ?

Hmm, yeah, that is redirecting to an odd site, and is not working.

Ok thanks! I'll just check back and try again later until it's working again. If/when it works. Perhaps the first one to find the site up and running again could post on here to let everyone else know.

I am having a slightly different problem installing the Inspiration browser. The link is to a server at eib.assyst.net and that web site does not seem to be operational. Is there an alternate site for the download?

So after a month there's still no answer to our problem? I get that same weird link and can't install the browser. Just lovely.
