Photoshop: Image files that it can't open even if it created them

I have a jpg image taken with a Canon G10. I can open this image in OSX Preview, I can crop it, export it to another format than JPG (I tried JPG with another compression, Tiff with no compression): whatever I do, the original image, as well as any image created from it in Preview, they won't open in Photoshop CC2015 nor LR 6.9 ! The name and file extension are always correct, and there is no hardware issue.
It will say that "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file"
This file seems to have something special, even the files Preview creates from it...

The only thing I found to recover it for Adobe Products is to export it to PNG in Preview, I can then open it in Photoshop.
But what is even more crazy, is that if I open this PNG in Photoshop and export it to JPG, Photoshop won't be able to open the JPG it has just created itself !!! While Preview can open it...

I can send the file to anyone interested in looking it up.

Can you post the file via Dropbox or similar?

Sorry surlezi but IMG_2557.jpg opened without issue for me as well with 2017.1. Maybe try importing from your camera again but saving to your Desktop and try opening it from there, just as a test.
