Inconsistent integration of edited photos into ELEMENTS Organizer.

When using Editor and saving edited photos with a new title, the new edited photo is inconsistently added to the media file in organizer. I have to add the missing edited photos from the file they were saved in. This is especially problematic because I then have to individually stack these edited photos with the originals from which the new version was made. This bug makes upgrade from 11 to 12 a huge problem, as it is taking me almost twice as long to create albums as it did with 11.

In the 'save as' dialog, did you have 'save in version set' checked ?

yes......I just edited 3 photos, and used the same settings, including "save in version set" for each. 2 of the 3 appeared in organizer as a version set. The third photo, using the exact same process, did not appear in organizer.

Do you rename your files systematically when saving versions?
One reason could be to include several '.' (dots) in the renamed file name, such as 'IMG_0001.edited.jpg'

Replying again - sorry if this is a repeat reply.

Thanks again for trying to help. Yes, I rename my files systematically, though I don't use multiple "dots". The problem is that some of my edited photos in a series will get integrated into Organizer when I close editor, even though i am using the very same system...just the numbers are different. And, I have been using this system for editing and saving into Organizer without losing files since i started using versions of Elements in 2005!

This problem only began when i converted from Elements 11 to 12! This is clearly a bug in 12. How can I get attention to this problem from someone who can fix the bug at Adobe?

Sorry, but I can't replicate your problem and it's the first time I see it on Elements forums.
So, the best advice I can give is to try to find details about the conditions in which that happens. If if works in PSE11, practically nothing has been changed in PSE12, except the changes in the PSE12.1 version. Did you update to 12.1 ?
If other users have the same problem, they may add their votes to the present discussion.
Anyway, the next Elements version is expected soon, so I doubt a fix can be added to PSE12.
