Pressing space bar in Grid view opens the detailed view, which is quite intuitive. Following this UI concept pressing space bar again should return you to the Grid view. However, it zooms in yet again to 1:1. Pressing space bar when you are zoomed in returns to Fit and then loopes to 1:1 again.
So there is no way to quickly view a photo and get back to the Grid view with a single toggle button.
"f" might be used to go fullscreen and back, but it takes over your whole computer screen and is disorienting whn LR CC is not used at maximum size.

Pressing "G" again will return you to the grid, and then start toggling between grid modes, which further highlights my point about inconsistent shortcut behaviour. It's the same with space bar.
Also, you can return to the grid view by pressing ESC button, which dublicates the "G" shortcut.
