In Elements 11 I cannot save my edited pictures in a jpeg format that will open in anything but photoshop. What am I doing wrong?

It won't save in anything but a PSE file. So frustrating.

PSE isn't a file format.
And JPEG files are openable just about anywhere.

Can you give more details about what you're doing, and what is not working?

Sorry, I am not good at this language. In Elements 9 I could save edited and re-edited pictures in many versions of the original. Now in Elements 11 it will save in "my Pictures" as a PSE and it says it saves as a JPEG but it will not show the picture. It is just a white blank rectangle.

I know that JPEG files are usually easy to open anywhere. I'll be danged if I can figure this out. I appreciate your time and help.

Your description of the problem still doesn't make sense.

Are you talking about previews in Finder/Explorer? Viewing in another application? Or something else?

I rarely make any sense, but my pictures are awesome-i-n spite of this dumb problem. Yes, I do not use the Elements Organizer. But when I save the edited pictures in "My pictures" it just shows a blank rectangle. Most of the time when I bring that blank-looking file up to try to re-save it, it won't open. Frustrating!

If you don't understand this, ask your grandma or someone who is not a Sr. Computer Scientist. They might understand the complexities of my situation. :)

What do you mean, "How does this make you feel?" Stupid of course.

You're still leaving out important information needed to understand what you are seeing.

What do you mean "My Pictures"? That sounds like you're saving it to a Windows folder, and viewing is in Windows Explorer - but you haven't given enough detail.

What OS version are you using?
Where exactly are you seeing these blank icons/previews of your files?

And what happens (with details) when you try to open those files that have a blank icon/preview?
