In default save as dialog we have different file type options which is ordered like below:

Name of type (*.EXTENSION; *.EXT; *.EXT).

It's good to know which extension named what but it's also hard to choose the extension with keyboard.

I often use keyboard shortcuts while I'm drawing and saving images. For example I hit Ctrl + S buttons then press TAB button and then I have to hit the "P" key 8 times to choose *.PNG format.

The new order I mentioned you can see in the picture in the attachment, like this:

PSD; PDD (Photoshop)
PSB (Large Document Format)
GIF (CompuServe GIF)
EPS (Photoshop EPS)
EPS (Photoshop DCS 1.0)
EPS (Photoshop DCS 2.0)
JPEG (JPG, JPEG, JPE)
JPEG 2000 (JPF;JPX;JP2;J2C;J2K;JPC)
PCX (PCX)
PDF (Photoshop PDF)
RAW (Photoshop RAW)
PXR (Pixar)
PNG (PNG)
PBM; PBM;PGM;PPM;PNM;PFM;PAM (Portable Bit Map)
SCT (Scitex CT)
TGA;VDA;ICB;VST (Targa)
TIF;TIFF (TIF)

In this way I can type the extension (for example press P, N and G to choose the PNG format) and it would be very fast and easy to choose the type for save.

Also it would be great if we have a box in the save as dialog with enough information about the file type which we will save as. I made an example in the attachment picture for Photoshop PSD format. There is many of file types and they are different from each other. It would be good to know about format at least for beginners.

On Mac, I can type more than one letter to navigate this list, like P-N-G for example. I believe this is possible on Windows as well, so that would at least save you 5 key-presses.
