Lightroom CC for mobile 4.1 (Android): Importing raws becomes too dark to even see

Hi,

I just
subscribed to Light Room CC 4.1, running on Android (J7 Pro) so that I
can edit RAWs. But instead, whenever I import them to Light Room, they
turn from normal looking to terribly dark.

Camera: Sony a6300

Mobile: Samsung J7 Pro

When
I look at them on the viewfinder, they look normal. They also look normal on my Macbook Pro. Even during import (when you choose which files you want to import) they look normal. But when they get imported, they look terrible.

Here's an example. I tried importing the 5th image. See next photo on how it turned out.

This is how it got imported:

Here are the default light setting for the file:

Any solution please? Thanks

Rean,

Would you be willing to share a file with us so we can attempt to duplicate what you are seeing?

Result after importing:

Thank you in advance!

Rean,

I imported your two files directly to a Galaxy Note 8 and then allowed them to sync to the cloud. The brightness in Lightroom CC for Android and the Desktop are very close (if I set my brightness correctly on the device).  On my Mac, Mac Preview shows them as the same brightness as the Android device and the Desktop App.  On the Android App the thumbnail matches the full-size image.

Since these are raw files, you may be confusing the embedded JPEG preview with the actual rendering of the raw file. Your Sony will include a partially processed JPEG inside the raw file. Depending upon your camera settings that embedded JPEG can look very different from the raw file - particularly if you have highlight recovery routines enabled.  Some software will show you the pre-processed JPEG and some software will render the raw file. I am guessing what you are seeing is the difference in your pre-processed JPEG preview and the actual data in the raw file.

With your files, I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

Hi,

I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure what that means, but if it's working for everyone except me, then it might be because of my phone and not the camera nor the app itself..probably.

But thank you!
